Give, send, offer, show gibi iki nesne alan fiillerde her iki nesne de özne olabilir:
Active: They gave the students certificates.

Günlük İngilizcede "get + V3" informal passive olarak kullanılır ama YDS akademik metinlerinde bu yapı seçeneklerde genellikle tuzak olarak sunulur.

🎯 YDS'de Passive Voice Soruları Nasıl Çıkar?
Passive voice, YDS'de iki temel soru tipinde karşına çıkar: cümle tamamlama ve anlam yakınlığı. Her ikisinde de farklı stratejiler gerektirir.
Cümle Tamamlama (Boşluk Doldurma)
Bu tip sorularda cümledeki öznenin eylem yapıp yapmadığını sormadan analiz et. Özne eylemin alıcısıysa passive seçeneği doğrudur. Zaman uyumuna dikkat et: bağlaçlar (before, after, when, since) zaman çerçevesini belirler.
Anlam Yakınlığı (Eş Anlam / Parafraz)
Bu tip sorularda aktif bir cümle edilgen hâle dönüştürülür ya da "It is said/believed/reported that..." yapısı "subject + is said to..." şekline çevrilir. İki cümlenin anlamca özdeş olması gerekir — zaman kayması olmamalıdır.

YDS adaylarının passive voice sorularında düştüğü beş temel hata:
⚠️ 1. Yanlış "be" Çekimi
Present Perfect Passive'de en çok karıştırılan hata: have been yerine was yazmak.
✗ The policy was introduced recently and its effects are still visible.
✓ The policy has been introduced recently and its effects are still visible.
"Recently" + "still visible" → etkisi devam ediyor = Present Perfect Passive.
⚠️ 2. Impersonal Passive'de Zaman Uyumsuzluğu
"It is believed that..." yapısını "...is believed to..." şekline dönüştürürken ki zamanı kaçırmak YDS'de sık görülen hatadır.
✗ It is believed that the species disappeared → The species is believed to disappear.
✓ The species is believed to have disappeared.
"That" cümlesinde geçmiş zaman → infinitive'de "to have + V3" kullan.
⚠️ 3. Stative Fiilleri Passive Yapmak
Resemble, belong to, consist of, contain, lack, suit gibi durum fiilleri passive yapılamaz. Bu seçenekler YDS'de tuzak olarak sunulur.

⚠️ 4. "By" ile "With" Karıştırmak
YDS'de bazen by ve with arasında seçim yaptıran sorular gelir. "By" eylem yapanı, "with" kullanılan aleti/nesneyi gösterir.
✗ The experiment was conducted with a team of researchers.
✓ The experiment was conducted by a team of researchers.
✓ The experiment was conducted with advanced instruments.
⚠️ 5. Continuous Passive'i Atlamak
"is being + V3" yapısı adaylar tarafından çok bilinmez. "Şu an yapılıyor" anlamında hem continuous hem passive gerektiğinde bu form kullanılır.
✗ The bridge is being build since last year. (V1 değil V3 olmalı)
✓ The bridge is being built right now.

"It is reported that..." yapısında ikinci cümle kendi zamanında bağımsız çalışır. "Ancient manuscript" keşfedilen, keşfeden değil → passive. Geçmişte tamamlanmış → Simple Past Passive: was discovered. C aktif (yanlış özne).
3. The regulations ______ before the factory started its operations, otherwise serious penalties would apply.
A) must be followed B) must have been followed C) should follow D) are being followed
"Before the factory started... otherwise penalties would apply" → geçmişe dair zorunluluk (ama olmamış). Bu "modal perfect passive": must have been followed. A anlam yanlış (şimdiye dair). C aktif. D mevcut eylem (bağlamla uyumsuz).
4. The scientist ______ to have made the discovery two decades before it was officially recognized.
A) is claimed B) claims C) has claimed D) is claiming
"Subject + ______ to have + V3" = impersonal passive yapısı. "To have made" geçmişte yapıldığını gösteriyor. Cümle yapısı "S + passive verb + to infinitive" → is claimed. B aktif (kim claim ediyor?). C aktif perfect. D aktif continuous (believe/claim gibi fiiller progressive kullanılmaz).
